31 dead, 71 injured after petrol tanker crash in Uganda
At least 31 people have been killed and 71 injured after a petrol tanker overturned and caught fire in eastern Uganda.
The vehicle tipped over when the driver lost control as he was trying to pass a minivan.
Most of the dead were either passengers in the minivan or trying to scoop up the gasoline.
The injured were taken to hospitals in Iganda 74 miles east of Kampala.
Scores of people were killed and several injured earlier this year in Nigeria when people tried to salvage fuel spewing from a damaged pipeline.
