Bomb meant for Tesco store - police

A rocket-propelled grenade which hit a Bangkok building housing an El Al ticket office was probably directed at a nearby Tesco store, a Thai police chief said today.

There were no casualties but the front of the 15-storey Manorom Building in Rama IV Road, one of the main routes in the Thai capital, was damaged, said Lt Gen Anan Piromkaew, chief of the metropolitan police.
