White-land seizures legalised in Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe’s top court has declared the government’s plan to seize all white-owned farms, legal, overturning its previous ruling that it was unconstitutional and illegal.

Four of the five supreme court justices who heard the case said that they were satisfied with the government’s ‘fast track’ land nationalisation programme. They said the plan was lawful and ‘sufficiently compiled’ with the nations constitution.
