Sharon: Arafat will not succeed

Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon has addressed the nation in the wake of today’s retaliatory missile attacks after weekend violence killed 26 people.

A defiant Sharon claimed that Yasser Arafat would not succeed. Mr Sharon said: "We have fought wars before and we have won wars before.
