Nato chief to strengthen relationship with Russia
Nato chief Lord Robertson was flying east today for talks aimed at strengthening Russia’s relationship with the military alliance and devising ways of making joint decisions in the war against terror.
He was to begin his trip, his second this year to Russia, in Volgograd, formerly Stalingrad, where the Soviet Union defeated the Nazis in a decisive battle that remains a source of deep Russian pride and an enduring symbol of the country’s wartime sacrifice.
