Pakistan severs ties with Taliban

Pakistan has officially ended all ties with Afghanistan’s Taliban Government.

Pakistan called back all its diplomats in Afghanistan shortly after the September attacks in the US, but retained its diplomatic ties with the Taliban.

Earlier this month, Pakistani dictator Pervez Musharraf closed the Taliban consulate in Karachi because it was being used to criticise the US bombing of Afghanistan.
