Police in Zimbabwe have arrested the editor of the country’s only independent newspaper, which is the most vocal critic of President Robert Mugabe’s government.

Police in Zimbabwe have arrested the editor of the country’s only independent newspaper, which is the most vocal critic of President Robert Mugabe’s government.

Geoffrey Nyarota, editor of the Daily News, was arrested during a raid at his home today. Wilfred Mbanga, who helped found the newspaper, was also detained.
