National Day of Mourning begins in US

A commemorative bell has rung in New York's Stock Exchange signalling the start of the National Day of Mourning in the United States.

President George Bush is attending a ceremony in Washington, where other mourners include the former president, Bill Clinton and his daughter Chelsea.
