A commemorative bell has rung in New York's Stock Exchange signalling the start of the National Day of Mourning in the United States.

The Taoiseach has said he believes the attacks on the US have changed the world.

An ecumenical memorial service will be held in Dublin's Pro-Cathedral tomorrow at 11am.
