A key debate on the NATO-backed peace plan for Macedonia has been postponed by the country’s parliament.

Its speaker says discussions cannot take place while Albanian rebels continue to ‘terrorise’ civilians.

The Macedonian Government is warning that acceptance of the deal - which trades disarmament for constitutional changes - is the only alternative to civil war.

The rebels have already backed the agreement.
