14 killed in Nigerian floods

At least 14 people have died and thousands more have been left homeless after torrential rains caused two dams to burst on a river in northern Nigeria.

Dozens of other people are still missing after the rain which began on Monday washed away thatched huts in at least eight villages. Many homes in the city of Wudil, where tens of thousands of Nigerians live, were also flooded.
