A new opinion poll in Britain has put Ken Clarke ahead of his rival Iain Duncan Smith in the race to become the next leader of the Conservative Party.

The survey of 1,200 Conservative councillors gave Mr Clarke a 46% share of the vote, with just 25% supporting Mr Duncan Smith.
