Sharon visits troops in Gaza

Israeli Prime Minister Arial Sharon has travelled to the Gaza Strip to visit his troops.

It came as Israeli forces and Palestinians clashed a mile away.

Meanwhile, shooting erupted in a Palestinian town in the southern end of Gaza along the border with Egypt.

Eight Palestinians were wounded, four of them seriously.
