Twenty-three people have died after an overloaded minibus plunged into a river near the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, today.

Twenty-three people have died after an overloaded minibus plunged into a river near the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, today.

The minibus was carrying more than 50 people who were returning from a funeral.

Survivors told local reporters that the driver was drunk and that he ignored pleas from frightened passengers to slow down.
