Hunt for Ealing bomber continues
Anti-terrorist police are continuing their hunt for the Ealing bomber as businesses begin to assess the damage caused by the devastating explosion.
The inner cordon around the bomb site remains in place days after the suspected terrorist attack in west London.
Business owners in Ealing Broadway are facing a multi-million pound repair bill in the wake of the blast.
Scotland Yard said a number of calls were received from the public after the release of the CCTV footage of the explosion but there had been no significant developments.
Business owners have told of their shock at returning to their devastated buildings at the centre of the explosion.
Some retailers said they could be facing bills of hundreds of thousands of pounds from repairs and lost trade.
Bashir Mohammed, 51, whose Pie4 designer women's clothing shop was at the centre of the blast, said the shop was a write-off and the stock alone would cost Stg£150,000 to replace.
He also stands to lose thousands of pounds in trade as he cannot replace the designer goods, including labels like Armani and Versace, until January or February.
Mr Mohammed said a loss adjuster saw Pie4 and another shop he owns on Ealing Broadway but had not given him a figure.
He said some of his staff had used a counselling service set up by Ealing Council in the wake of the blast.
