Mariah Carey movie delayed after breakdown
The release of Mariah Carey's new film has been put back by three weeks.
She has been undergoing psychiatric treatment for an emotional breakdown.
Glitter stars Carey as an aspiring pop singer.
It was due to open in the US on August 31, but 20th Century Fox says it will now open on September 21.
Glitter does not yet have a UK release date.
Carey has cancelled her publicity tour for the film along with other public appearances.
Her new album, also titled Glitter, was scheduled for release on August 21.
It is unclear if its release will be delayed to coincide with the film's opening.
Her spokeswoman Cindi Berger says Carey had been working too hard and getting too little sleep working on Glitter, the soundtrack and another film called Wise Girls, which is due out next year.
Berger says Carey is still under psychiatric care and her condition is unchanged.
