Magazine readers say Madonna is the star women envy

Madonna has the perfect celebrity lifestyle and is the envy of Britain's women, according to a magazine survey.

Her career, attitude, talent and bank account are among the attributes which most impressed the 5,000 people who voted in the poll.

Model Jordan, by contrast, was the figure whom voters in the Celebrity Bodies magazine poll said had the ultimate nightmare lifestyle.

Her face, talent, career and personality were ranked the worst.

Christina Aguilera topped the poll for the category of nightmare dress sense after appearing in a series of appalling skimpy outfits.

Madonna's winning streak in a series of different categories also saw her top the list as the over-40 who they thought had aged best.

She was runner up for her family life and home (behind the Beckhams for both), and her brains behind Carol Vorderman.

Victoria Beckham was ranked the best for dress sense.

Alison Hall, editor of Celebrity Bodies, said: "Madonna might be nudging middle age and she's not the most beautiful A-lister, but she's got the qualities we all deeply envy - endless talent, confidence and originality and is a true superstar with lasting appeal."

Best voice - Dido; Nightmare voice - Geri Halliwell.
