Police and poor clash over 'land to live on'

Police in Cape Town have fired tear gas at several hundred protesters demanding land and houses near the city.

Residents in the poor suburb of Phillippi stoned cars and put burning tyres and rocks in the streets before the police moved in to disperse them.
