REM star Buck denies air rage charges

Peter Buck has denied a series of charges relating to an alleged air rage incident on board a transatlantic flight.

The REM star is accused of assaulting two members of British Airways staff, being drunk on board an aircraft, causing criminal damage and interfering with a control panel on an external door.

The alleged offences took place on a British Airways 747 flight from Seattle to Heathrow in April.

Buck, 44, denied all five charges when he appeared at Isleworth Crown Court, west London, for a plea and directions hearing.

The guitarist, accompanied to court by his wife Stephanie, was given bail on surety of Stg£20,000.

His trial, which is expected to last for five days, was set for November 12.
