Airport cleared after ETA bomb threat

The main terminal at Malaga airport, the gateway to Spain's Costa del Sol, was evacuated today after police received a bomb warning from the Basque separatist group ETA.

Bomb disposal experts are currently examining a vehicle at the airport after a telephone caller claimed to have parked a car bomb there.

On Tuesday, a Basque woman blew herself up while handling explosives in the beach resort of Alicante.

Police said she was plotting to attack tourists in an escalation of ETA's terror campaign.
