US President, George W Bush flew to Kosovo today for a brief visit with US troops serving as part of the Nato led peacekeeping force in the Yugoslav province.

Bush arrived in Pristina on Air Force One from Rome and was heading to Camp Bondsteel, the sprawling military base for the 5,000 American troops stationed in Kosovo.

He planned to have lunch with some of the peacekeepers and meet with their commander and the head of the United Nations mission.
