Peru quake deaths not as high as thought
The death toll from the earthquake that rocked southern Peru on June 23 has been lowered from 115 people to 77.
The recount is due to missing people being declared dead.
Peru's Civil Defence Institute says that 68 people are still listed as missing.
The 8.1-magnitude quake left 2,713 people injured, destroyed 25,399 homes and damaged 33,570 others.
According to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies at least 190,000 people have been left homeless by the quake.
