Staff member 'hid camera in school toilets'

A member of staff at an Illinois school has been suspended after admitting trying to place a small video camera in the toilets.

The camera was discovered in the bathroom ceiling at Lines Elementary School in Barrington by a teacher who spotted it sticking out from under a ceiling tile.

Police are investigating and no charges have been made.

Reports said that no one from the school or police would identify the employee or discuss the motive.
