Paranoia has set in among the Big Brother housemates after they learned the first eviction nominations would take place today.

Just as the group had started to bond after Penny and Stuart's argument, Big Brother made the unwelcome announcement. The 10 contestants had originally been told that they had until Monday to decide who they want booted out.

Bubble read the order and said he hoped housemates wouldn't spend the weekend backstabbing. The result will be announced on Monday.

Bubble said: "That's harsh," but Amma disagreed, adding: "We're not stabbing each other in the back, we knew we had to do this every week. We were going to have to do it sooner or later - let's just deal with it."

Brian looked around the room in a panic and said: "Which one am I going to stab in the back?"

Paul said there had to be a good reason for nominating someone, while Penny said: "It's not a very nice game but they warned us.

"We're playing a game for 10 weeks but the real friendships start when we are out of here."

Nominations will take place at 10.30pm, live on Channel 4.
