A 20-year-old Italian student has died of a heart attack during a history exam.

A 20-year-old Italian student has died of a heart attack during a history exam.

Alessandro Piroddi, from Quartu Sant'Elena, Sardinia, had a coronary while answering questions in an oral history test.

He was seized by violent chest pains and fell to floor. The teacher assisted, and the student was rushed to hospital by ambulance but did not regain consciousness.

Alessandro had no history of heart problems and regularly played football.

It is not known if he was worried or stressed about his exam.

His parents are waiting for a post-mortem examination to find the cause of death.
