Blair to rally ministers on election reforms

Tony Blair is to tell his ministers the forthcoming election battle will need ‘‘even more energy and focus than the 1997 campaign’’.

The premier was holding a rallying political cabinet at Downing Street today in which he will stress the need for the electorate to be ‘‘enthused’’ and made aware they have a stake in the Labour cause.
