Three people walked away uninjured from the wreck of a light aircraft which crashed yesterday on a small airfield, police said.
The plane got into difficulties as it landed at Land’s End, Cornwall, yesterday afternoon.
A spokesman for Devon and Cornwall police said: ‘‘The accident involved a visiting aeroplane which crashed at Land’s End aerodrome. The plane was seriously damaged but the three occupants all escaped without injury.’’
He said no further details were available.
It is believed the plane had flown into the tiny airfield from another in southern England and everyone on board was well enough to travel home by train.
