Toddler found dead in garden pond

An 18-month-old toddler has been found dead in a garden pond, police said today.

The little girl, who has not been named, was found in the pond at her family’s home in Lytham St Anne’s, Blackpool, yesterday evening.

A Lancashire Police spokeswoman said a post mortem examination would take place later today.

No more details would be released until all relatives had been informed, she added.
