Four injured in Israeli bomb blast
A pipe bomb exploded in an Israeli town today, slightly injuring four people, and police are blaming Palestinian militants.
The explosive was planted near or in a car parked in the centre of Or Yehuda, a working class town south of Tel Aviv.
Yossi Sedbom, the police commander of the Tel Aviv district, said the assailants ‘‘very probably’’ were Palestinian militants.
The explosion came a day after a bombing in the town of Kfar Saba, near Tel Aviv, killed the assailant and an Israeli doctor. Fifty people were hurt.
The Islamic militant group Hamas claimed responsibility for the blast.
