Arafat sends goodwill message to Sharon

Palestinian President Yasser Arafat has delivered a goodwill message to Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon for the Jewish Passover holiday.

The peaceful gesture comes after another week of violence in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

Israel Radio said the two men spoke on the telephone and a Palestinian official also said Arafat expressed his hope that the stalled peace talks would resume soon.
