ETA warns tourists they are now targets
The Basque terror group ETA says tourists coming to Spain are now legitimate targets.
In letters to Basque newspapers the group warned tourists not to travel to Spanish resorts to avoid "undesirable consequences".
It said it had included "Spanish touristic-economic interests" among its targets.
Eta also claimed responsibility for other recent attacks that killed six Spaniards.
The group, blamed for more than 800 killings since 1968, planted two car bombs in Mediterranean resorts earlier this month.
On March 17 a car bomb exploded in Rosas, in the north of the Costa Brava, killing a policeman.
On the same day a car bomb was defused in the resort of Gandia.
ETA, whose name stands for Basque Homeland and Freedom, has in the past targeted tourist resorts in summer campaigns.
