Three fatally speared by falling icicles

Three people have died in Moscow after they were hit by falling icicles.

The city has suffered its worst winter for decades and a sudden thaw has seen dozens of people hit by giant ice spears.

Apart from the deaths, 74 people have been treated in hospital so far this winter because of the problem.

Hundreds of amateur mountaineers are being employed by the city to remove precarious icicles from buildings.
