Hunt for BBC bombers intensifies
The hunt for the dissident republicans who bombed the BBC headquarters in London last weekend has intensified.
British police are confirming the explosives were packed into a blue barrel. Such barrel bombs have been used by the so-called Real IRA in attacks in the North.
The police believe they are looking for two bombers after witnesses confirmed they saw two men inside the taxi used in the attack in the hours before the blast.
A re-enactment of the final movements of the car has taken place in the hope it will jog the memory of witnesses.
Britain has been on a heightened state of alert since the bombing amid fears the dissidents are about to embark on a sustained campaign throughout the country.
