Strong earthquake reported in Tibet

An earthquake has rocked the north west of Tibet, according to reports.

China's official Xinhua news agency says the quake measured a strong 6.4 on the Richter scale.

It said it wasn't immediately known if the quake in Nyima county caused any damage.
