A lorry carrying 10 tons of eggs has spilled its load over a German motorway after crashing into another truck.

It has taken emergency workers four hours to clean up after the crash on the Karlsruhe Autobahn, near Baden Baden.

Police described the scene as like a "giant omelet". The clearing operation left traffic backed up for seven miles.
