One of comedian Ali G's catchphrases has landed MTV in hot water with broadcast regulators.
Ali G was presenting the MTV Europe Music Awards in Stockholm in November when he used the word "punahny" - a reference to an intimate part of the female anatomy - and also made remarks about pornographic films during the broadcast.
The Independent Television Commission reported that there had been unsuitable references and bad language which breached regulations.
This follows an earlier ITC report which rapped broadcaster Carlton after the same catchphrase was displayed on the screen during ITV's daytime show Celebrity TV.
According to the latest report, ITC staff noted the remarks were made before the 9pm watershed.
MTV argued that the reference to pornographic films would not have been easily understood by younger viewers.
It also said that the "punahny" reference was made when children in their largest numbers are generally not viewing.
But the ITC report concluded: "The use of the word punahny was also unacceptable. MTV had itself removed the word from a Madonna music video.
"Last year's event also involved breaches of the Programme Code. The onus must therefore be on MTV to find ways to ensure the show complies."
It added: "Failure to do so next time is likely to attract sanction."
