Eminem faces arrest over drugs claim on stage

Eminem's London shows could be cancelled after police revealed he faces arrest for suspected drug use.

During his performance in Manchester, Eminem told the audience he had taken MDMA, a form of ecstacy.

Police have now seized video copies of the gig which they will study closely to see whether he really did take the drug.

Chief Inspector Steve White told London's Evening Standard: "We are looking at a number of offences under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

"The artist claimed he had taken a controlled class A drug on stage during his performance - but more importantly he incited more than 15,000 teenage fans to take MDMA, an illegal class A drug.

"We will be appointing a senior investigating officer who needs to interview Eminem to establish whether or not the law has been broken. We will take it from there," said Mr White.

Meanwhile, David and Victoria Beckham stormed out of the concert after just 15 minutes.

A close friend said: "They were just so disgusted they had to leave. They said they thought it was so terrible Brooklyn would have to grow up in a world where Eminem was a star."
