Stand-off at the Holiday Inn as Texan convicts are cornered

Police have surrounded a hotel in Colorado where two of the seven inmates who escaped from a Texas prison are holed up.

Officers are in contact with Patrick Murphy Jr., a 39-year-old rapist, and armed robber Donald Newbury, 38. They are believed to have a dozen weapons including assault rifles and shotguns.
