US compensates China for Belgrade embassy bombing

China has received £19m in compensation from the US for the bombing of the Chinese Embassy in Belgrade during the Kosovo war.

The payment was promised in December 1999 as part of a deal aimed at appeasing Chinese anger after the bombing.
