BBC to pay tribute to Kirsty MacColl
The BBC is to broadcast a programme in memory of Kirsty MacColl.
The 41-year-old died last month in a boating accident off the coast of Mexico.
Thank You For The Days - A Tribute To Kirsty MacColl will be presented on Radio 2 by Johnnie Walker who knew and worked with her.
The Radio 2 programme, on January 20 at 8pm, will take a look at the singer's life and celebrate her career.
The one-hour special will also hear tributes from Kirsty's colleagues and friends including Phil Chevron from The Pogues, Holly Johnson of Frankie Goes To Hollywood and guitarist, co-writer and producer Pete Glenister.
Kirsty MacColl's Cuba, the eight part series due to start on Radio 2 the day after Kirsty's death, will now begin on January 31 at 10pm.
