Alberta wildfire ‘could last months’

Evacuations continue as Canada blaze extends over 500,000 acres

Canadian officials say they expect to spend months fighting the wildfire that has destroyed large parts of Alberta’s oil sands city of Fort McMurray.

There are fears the wildfire could double in size and reach a major oil sands mine - even the neighbouring province of Saskatchewan.
