VIDEO: Lightning recorded in ultra-slow motion is beautiful stuff

Lightning researcher Tom Warner went on a storm-chasing expedition with his daughter this month - and brought back some stunning slow-motion video of lightning making its way to earth.

The footage was recorded at a whopping 2000 frames per second. To put that in context, cinema is usually run at 24fps, while modern gaming usually runs at 60fps. What you're watching is slowed down about 80 times.
