Life just keeps getting more complicated for a Chinese man caught cheating by all 17 of his girlfriends simultaneously.

Man with 17 girlfriends charged with fraud

The man, known only as Yuan, from Changsha in the Hunan province, was busted spectacularly last month when all of his significant others turned up to hospital when he was hurt in a car accident.

Now the serial romantic is in trouble with the law as well. He has been charged with fraud offences after being accused of taking money from the scorned women.

After discovering Yuan’s issues with monogamy, the 17 ex-girlfriends set up an online group called ā€œRevenge Allianceā€ and, during their conversations, discovered he would regularly ask many of them for money.

One of the women had reportedly financed her wayward partner for nine years.

He is reported to have had a child with one of the women and was believed to have been planning a wedding with another. Hospital staff were stunned last month when all Yuan’s girlfriends turned up at once.

The group of woman were similarly shocked and upset when they figured out they were all there for the same man, a newspaper reported.

Xiao Li, who has been dating Yuan for a year-and-a- half, told reporters: ā€œ(After hearing he’d been in an accident) I cried so hard I didn’t have any tears left.

ā€œI was really worried when I heard he was in hospital. But when I started seeing more and more beautiful girls show up, I couldn’t cry any more,ā€ she said. Another girlfriend called Wang Fang said she had a son with the man.
