Three shot dead in row over parking in North Carolina

The fatal shooting of three family members near the University of North Carolina campus in the US was motivated by a neighbour dispute over parking, police said.

Chapel Hill police said their preliminary investigation shows the fight over parking sparked the fatal shooting of a man, his wife and her sister, all college students.

Craig Stephen Hicks, 46, has charged with three counts of murder. He was expected to make a first court appearance last night.

The victims were identified as Deah Shaddy Barakat, 23, and Yusor Mohammad ,21, and 19-year-old Razan Mohammad Abu-Salha.
