Gary Glitter sex trial adjourned until today
He appeared at London’s Southwark Crown Court, yesterday, on the day his six-week trial was due to start. He spoke to confirm his name as Judge Alistair McCreath adjourned the case until 10am today.
Glitter is accused of one count of attempted rape and another of indecent assault on a girl aged under 13 in 1975. Relating to a second complainant, he is charged with four counts of indecent assault when she was under 13 in 1977.
He faces one charge of unlawful intercourse with a girl under 13 between the same dates in relation to the same girl. In reference to a third complainant, who was under 16, he is charged with two counts of indecent assault between October 1979 and December 1980.
Glitter denies all charges.
