Video: Lupita Nyong’o and Elmo chat about skin colour

During the conversation Elmo realised the different colours of skin noting that his was red whilst Lupita's was a "beautiful brown colour".
"That's the thing I love most about skin" replied the oscar winner, "Skin comes in lots of beautiful shades and colours.
The message of the video was simple and presented in a way that children will be able to understand but it is also a direct statement that anyone can understand.

The '12 Years a Slave' star was crowned People Magazine's most beautiful person back in April.
"You could have never told me that that would happen when I was 16 and insecure about my complexion."
The latest appearance of the star on Sesame street proves that she is going to whatever end to extend the message of appreciating oneself.
