Feel the Rhythm, Feel the Rhyme: Jamaican bobsleigh team's catchy new theme tune

“All I’m saying, mon, is if we walk Jamaican, talk Jamaican, and is Jamaican, then we sure as hell better bobsled Jamaican.”

It’s a film that resonates with just about everyone: Cool Runnings — the story of the Jamaican bobsleigh team at the 1988 Winter Olympics, and now they’re back with a theme tune to boot.

“The Bobsled Song” is an ode to the 2014 two-man Jamaican team of Winston Watts and Marvin Dixon, who competed in Sochi last night.

The reggae tune is accompanied by a fairly rudimental retro video and has been viewed over 2,800 times so far.

Unfortunately, it didn’t bring the duo much good luck as they finished 30th in last night’s event.

Much like the current team’s medal hopes and in the immortal words of Disney’s characters:

“Sanka...you dead?”

“Ya, mon.”
