A man accused of plotting to kill Celtic manager Neil Lennon in a parcel bomb plot was secretly recorded saying he had told someone how to make a bomb, a court heard.

During a conversation about gas canisters and a padlock, the man identified by a Strathclyde Police surveillance officer as Neil McKenzie said he “was telling thingumy how to build a bomb”.

McKenzie, 42, is one of two men accused of conspiring to murder Lennon, ex-MSP Trish Godman and the late Paul McBride QC in an explosives plot, as well as various people in the premises of Irish Republican organisation Cairde na hÉireann.
