‘Collar bomb’ man had link to victim’s family

AUSTRALIAN authorities used an email account to track down a man accused of breaking into a family’s home in Australia and chaining a fake bomb device to a teenager’s neck as part of an extortion ploy, according to documents released yesterday.

Arrest charges against Paul “Doug” Peters filed in US federal court in Kentucky indicates the email account was created at an internet address linked to a Chicago airport.

Peters once worked for a company with ties to the victim’s family, according to documents.
