Tragic death

A PREGNANT schoolgirl and her baby have died in Britain after the mother suffered an apparent cardiac arrest, it was disclosed yesterday.

Leah La Roche, 15, was pronounced dead last Thursday at Medway Maritime Hospital in Gillingham, Kent, along with her baby.

Police said it is believed she died from natural causes, possibly from a cardiac arrest, but that could not be confirmed until postmortem results are known.

A spokeswoman for Medway Maritime Hospital said they had been asked by the girl’s family not to disclose any details.
